Hello again! Today I wanted to share with you an awesome new Pumpkin Spice Dolman I made recently…specifically for anyone in the medical field or someone who just likes anatomy and unique clothes. It’s now available in my Etsy shop for custom orders!
I previously held a poll on my Facebook page asking fans to choose four top medical prints, and this bright anatomical heart print was the second most voted fabric, for good reason! The hearts are stylized much like a screenprint and certainly lend themselves to being an accent piece. I paired them with a solid black so that they would really pop.
Speaking of the black, that is an incredibly soft brushed rayon spandex…the brushed part is towards the body, so it is extra cozy. I can’t get enough of it and will be ordering more for other projects soon!
Again, I love the Pumpkin Spice Dolman pattern. It’s a remarkably simple pattern to sew up, doesn’t take a long time, and is extremely flattering on all body types. I particularly like to add the bottom band, because then it gives some shape to the shirt, which could potentially otherwise be lost in all of its slouchy-ness. Plus, then its long enough to wear with leggings, and who doesn’t need another excuse to not wear “real pants”? 😉 The only downside is that it does take a somewhat significant amount of material for a shirt. However, by putting the accent on the back I get away with not needing to cut the back piece on the fold, which saves fabric.
Also, I’ve paired it here with my SOS pants with stretch denim. My favorite jeans!
I also have the Pumpkin Spice Dolman available with other non-medical prints as well, if that’s not your thing. Or, if you sew, just make your own!
Stay tuned for the next three medical print items which will all be available for custom orders in the coming weeks. Until then, I hope you are enjoying November!
