Happy Fourth of July, to my fellow Americans! I am thrilled I had the time to participate in one of my favorite blog tours again this year – the Sew Americana blog tour. Patriotic baby spam ahead!
I’ve been really into these Brindlle and Twig Harem Rompers lately. Super easy to make and easy to wear. A win-win! Also really quick to sew which is important these days. It’s been a random spring/summer this year but when we have a hot and muggy day I put L in one of these because it looks so breezy and comfy.
I had some Raspberry Creek scraps leftover from my make two years ago, so of course I had to sew a matching baby item. Clearly the reason I saved all of the scraps to begin with! I did the front with stripes like Brian’s, except I opted for horizontal because I thought it looked a bit circus-y on a baby vertical. Ha. Stars on the back too though!
It’s much harder than it looks so stage a photoshoot outside with a wiggly almost 7 month old…he likely ate at least one handful of grass while I was trying to operate the camera. Or started rolling into the mud. Or ate the flag (is this flag disrespect…?). But at least he’s cute!
NOW go check out my fellow bloggers’ posts below! Soooooo many inspiring and awesome makes this year. I love seeing all of the exciting and creative posts!
