Speaking of the fabric, it's from an Etsy shop in India, Fibers … Continue reading Botanical Banksia

November BeeBox – VHCO

Can I just say I am so jealous that I made this zip up hoodie / jacket for Brian and not for me?  What was I thinking?!  It's incredibly warm and irresistible.  Oh well, guess I'll have to steal it every chance I get. Let's talk about the fabric.  The plaid is a fantastic custom … Continue reading November BeeBox – VHCO

It's safe to say I'm in love with this pattern!  The Brunch Blouse released today and I've already made three.  With fabric for two more... This pattern, by P4P, is drafted for apparel fabrics with a soft drape (sorry, quilting cotton!), includes lots of options, dolman sleeves and has a semi-fitted silhouette.  Perfection if you … Continue reading Brunch Blouse Pattern Release

Happy Thursday!  Today I'm sharing another Arrowsmith tank I made for Brian, with the new Thin Line strike offs from Vinegar and Honey. Allison and Lauren were so generous to give away their strike offs for some of the new custom prints, which is how I was able to receive this one.  The Thin Green … Continue reading Thin Green Line Tribute Tank

I think this is the first year I’m not sewing at midnight on October 30th. 😂 I really wanted to get a few pictures before the rain came here in the PNW so that was a good motivation. Anyway Pooh and Piglet wish you a happy Halloween! 🎃

Summer in Oregon ☀️🍓
Looking at my feed made me realize I hadn’t posted here in over a year! But really I don’t expect anyone to see this because I know Instagram hates posts. 🤷🏻‍♀️ But in that timespan I grew and birthed another baby boy, we moved to the Pacific Northwest and I hardly sewed anything. 😂 This linen faux-romper (fauxmper?) is one of my favorite makes though and it’s perfect for hot weather and staying cool. Anyway, just posting to say hi. I’m hoping maybe the dead rodent in the wall of my craft room will decompose ASAP so that I can enter the room without being nauseated. No big deal. What is with my sewing space and rodents?!??? 😭😭😭
This boy is definitely a snuggly one these days! He was always so squirmy and unsettled as a baby, it’s still surprising when he is like this now.
It’s been a while, but hopefully my “sewjo” has returned for the time being. The past few months have been very rough for a few reasons but...sewing is at the top of my self care list and so I’m trying to make it a priority! Easier said than done.
