Holiday Freebies – Part 3

December 16, 2016Leave a comment

As the final Patterns for Pirates holiday freebie, I'm happy to share this blanket scarf!  In reality it's not exactly a pattern, more of a general how-to "guideline". The tutorial recommends anywhere from 1.5 - 2 yards; for mine I used 2 yards, 45" wide.  It also suggests cutting the fabric into a square, but I … Continue reading Holiday Freebies – Part 3

I think this is the first year Iโ€™m not sewing at midnight on October 30th. ๐Ÿ˜‚ I really wanted to get a few pictures before the rain came here in the PNW so that was a good motivation. Anyway Pooh and Piglet wish you a happy Halloween! ๐ŸŽƒ

Looking at my feed made me realize I hadnโ€™t posted here in over a year! But really I donโ€™t expect anyone to see this because I know Instagram hates posts. ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ But in that timespan I grew and birthed another baby boy, we moved to the Pacific Northwest and I hardly sewed anything. ๐Ÿ˜‚ This linen faux-romper (fauxmper?) is one of my favorite makes though and itโ€™s perfect for hot weather and staying cool. Anyway, just posting to say hi. Iโ€™m hoping maybe the dead rodent in the wall of my craft room will decompose ASAP so that I can enter the room without being nauseated. No big deal. What is with my sewing space and rodents?!??? ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ
This boy is definitely a snuggly one these days! He was always so squirmy and unsettled as a baby, itโ€™s still surprising when he is like this now.
Itโ€™s been a while, but hopefully my โ€œsewjoโ€ has returned for the time being. The past few months have been very rough for a few reasons but...sewing is at the top of my self care list and so Iโ€™m trying to make it a priority! Easier said than done.
