M4M Dylan – Daddy and Me

May 8, 20191 Comment

Here I am again with more matching outfits, because I clearly can't resist!  I sewed up these Men's Dylan and Boys Dylan tees and definitely had to add vinyl too. 🙂 I love that Made for Mermaids has this pattern for both kids and adults because matching is always so fun!  The side panel color … Continue reading M4M Dylan – Daddy and Me

Pine Crest Fabrics Activewear

March 10, 2019March 12, 2019Leave a comment

Hello friends!  I'm super excited to share this post with you - it's been in the making for a bit now.  I had the opportunity to use two fantastic spandex-based fabrics from Pine Crest Fabrics, which are a great choice for making athletic items: Olympus (available on Fabric.com in fun prints!) and Virtue (available on Fabric.com). First, Olympus.  … Continue reading Pine Crest Fabrics Activewear

Minimalist Swiss Cross Mommy & Me

February 18, 2019Leave a comment

I’ve made quite a few matching outfits for L and Brian, mainly due to using up the scraps from fabric I had already used to make Brian things over the past couple years.  I have made one matching set for me (which I have not yet blogged...better get on that before he outgrows it!) but I … Continue reading Minimalist Swiss Cross Mommy & Me

Raspberry Creek Sweater Knit

November 6, 2018November 7, 20182 Comments

I know I constantly obsess over the CLUB collection from Raspberry Creek, but today I'm loving some of their regular retail yardage: sweater knit!  What's not to love about buffalo plaid?!  This hacci sweater knit is the softest fabric ever. I sewed up the Made for Mermaids Women's Nina because I knew it would fit … Continue reading Raspberry Creek Sweater Knit

Thread Theory Fairfield Button-Up

In my previous post, I realized that I had never blogged this Fairfield!  I started it back in March, before I was pregnant, when I still had energy.  I finished it up and took these pictures on our trip to Washington right before I was hit with crazy nausea.  So now I am finally getting … Continue reading Thread Theory Fairfield Button-Up

Maternity Nikko Dress

October 7, 2018October 7, 20182 Comments

I asked on Instagram (follow me!) what I should make to wear to my baby shower.  I've not been into super tight "show off the 32 week bump" kind of clothes, which kind of surprised me a little bit.  But the most recommended dress by far by all of you was the Wiggle Dress with … Continue reading Maternity Nikko Dress

Raspberry Creek CLUB Fall Line – Part 1

August 26, 2018August 25, 2018Leave a comment

I seriously love fall sewing.  It's become one of my favorite times of the year as I've grown older; likely because it causes me to remember the nostalgia of starting school again (maybe not the reality ;)) and the anticipation of learning.  The changing seasons are always beautiful too.  In Chicago we don't get a … Continue reading Raspberry Creek CLUB Fall Line – Part 1

Maternity Fringe Dress + Raspberry Creek Fabrics

June 9, 2018June 9, 20185 Comments

I'm really loving the entire summer line from Raspberry Creek!  I was able to sew up some of this pretty Sand Stripe in rayon challis and it was an absolute dream. Pattern wise, I used the Chalk and Notch Fringe Dress, with a small modification to ensure it was maternity-friendly: Removed 1.5" from the bodice length … Continue reading Maternity Fringe Dress + Raspberry Creek Fabrics

Hello friends!  I'm back to blogging after a bit of a break consisting of a couple of cross country trips, life decisions and moving.  Now that we're a little more settled, I'm excited to share this new Banksia tee!  Isn't the fabric stunning?! Speaking of the fabric, it's from an Etsy shop in India, Fibers … Continue reading Botanical Banksia

This boy is definitely a snuggly one these days! He was always so squirmy and unsettled as a baby, it’s still surprising when he is like this now.
It’s been a while, but hopefully my “sewjo” has returned for the time being. The past few months have been very rough for a few reasons but...sewing is at the top of my self care list and so I’m trying to make it a priority! Easier said than done.
We painted our porch a neutral color after ripping out the carpet, and I realized I accidentally made myself a great photo “studio”. 👏🏻🤷🏻‍♀️
Sewing a cardigan when it’s 95F seems kinda weird, but not really when I can never have too many @grainlinestudio Driftless cardigans...with the perfect @raspberrycreekfabrics french terry. 😍
Obviously he loves snuggles. 😂
How is he so big?! For some reason this @lowlandkids Placket Romper makes him look like a legit toddler. I guess that’s because he is, but im pretty sure that’s not allowed. 😭
