Professional Edition blog tour!  This tour is sponsored by Made for Mermaids and Patterns for Pirates.  When it was announced I … Continue reading Sew, What Do I Wear? Men’s Finlayson Sweater: Part 2

February 9, 2017February 9, 20176 Comments

I'm back again, for the second edition of the Thread Theory Finlayson Sweater!  True to the name, this time I used a hacci sweater knit (last time I used a french terry). Brian picked out this sweater knit fabric from my stash, which I previously used for a few Cocoon Cardigans.  I bought too much, so … Continue reading Men’s Finlayson Sweater: Part 2

Men’s Finlayson Sweater: Part 1

Happy Monday evening!  Today I'm sharing something new I made over the weekend for Brian, the Thread Theory Finlayson Sweater.  I actually made two, and will share the second one later this week, when he lets me take pictures of it!  And yes, he's wearing his Papa Bear Joggers with the Finlayson here. 😉 I've … Continue reading Men’s Finlayson Sweater: Part 1

Reindeer & Snowflakes

Happy (almost) Thanksgiving!  I hope you all have a great long weekend, or at least just a regular weekend if you aren't in the US.  After sewing a bunch of lovely orders for my Etsy shop this week I just needed to sew something for myself, so I finally cut into this reindeer sweater knit … Continue reading Reindeer & Snowflakes

Two Sunday Shirts

This weekend I couldn't help myself and made two more versions of the Pumpkin Spice Dolman.  Exciting news - both of these are available in my Etsy shop here!  It's probably my new favorite easy shirt...both easy to make and easy to wear.  I think I said this before, but it's the perfect amount of … Continue reading Two Sunday Shirts

Pumpkin Spice (not that kind)

October 13, 2016October 12, 20165 Comments

Today I have for you my new favorite quick and easy pattern - the Patterns for Pirates Pumpkin Spice Dolman!  I've had my eye on this pattern for about 6 months, but didn't want to make it in the spring/summer since I think it truly shines with the long sleeved version.  Of course, you could … Continue reading Pumpkin Spice (not that kind)

Raglan Week – Part 3

Hello fellow sewing enthusiasts!  Here I am again with yet another raglan; my third and final installment for Raglan Week.  This time I used the Patterns for Pirates Relaxed Raglan, and again the Add-on Pack for the hood and also the front pocket. I used some amazing sweater knit that I got from someone local who … Continue reading Raglan Week – Part 3

This boy is definitely a snuggly one these days! He was always so squirmy and unsettled as a baby, it’s still surprising when he is like this now.
It’s been a while, but hopefully my “sewjo” has returned for the time being. The past few months have been very rough for a few reasons but...sewing is at the top of my self care list and so I’m trying to make it a priority! Easier said than done.
We painted our porch a neutral color after ripping out the carpet, and I realized I accidentally made myself a great photo “studio”. 👏🏻🤷🏻‍♀️
Sewing a cardigan when it’s 95F seems kinda weird, but not really when I can never have too many @grainlinestudio Driftless cardigans...with the perfect @raspberrycreekfabrics french terry. 😍
Obviously he loves snuggles. 😂
How is he so big?! For some reason this @lowlandkids Placket Romper makes him look like a legit toddler. I guess that’s because he is, but im pretty sure that’s not allowed. 😭
