September 10, 2018September 11, 20183 Comments

This is definitely one of my most favorite makes in quite a while - also something I had been planning to make for a long time as well!  I was just waiting for motivation and the perfect fabric; I certainly found both in the Raspberry Creek Fabrics fall line this year.  Both the large scale … Continue reading Nursing Halifax Hoodie Tutorial + RCF

January BeeBox – VHCO

February 4, 2018February 4, 2018Leave a comment

I think this month's VHCO BeeBox is my complete favorite so far!  The colors are very earthy and the fabric is a french terry with a nice mid-weight to it.  I love the pop of pink/maroon too!  It has a very vintage vibe. I decided to do some pattern modifications to get the type of … Continue reading January BeeBox – VHCO

I'm still catching up on holiday insanity...can you tell??  (Actually, speaking of that, I do still need to blog our Christmas clothes...)  Anyway, this is the VHCO BeeBox from December and it's definitely very festive.  I think its a great Valentine's color too! I decided to make an M4M Mama Claire, because I wore the … Continue reading December BeeBox – VHCO

Are you ready for my favorite shirt of 2018?!  Well, I've only sewed 3 this year so far but this one easily tops the list and probably will for a while! Yes, I made those floral designs and cut them out of crushed velvet using my Silhouette Cameo!  Back in October I took this picture … Continue reading Custom Fabric Applique Raglan

I'm late to the party, but that doesn't mean I'm not excited!  In fact, I am very obsessed with this pattern, the new Ragdoll Raglan by P4P.  It checks off all of my boxes for a shirt: Relaxed fit Comfy Long hem Cuff sleeves Dolman silhouette (not a must have but I prefer it) Fun detail … Continue reading Pattern Release: Ragdoll Raglan

October BeeBox -VHCO

November 15, 2017Leave a comment

It's that time again - for the surprise fabric box!  This month's BeeBox comprised of 2 yards of Vinegar and Honey's custom brushed poly.  Which I (not so) promptly used to make these leggings! As somewhat "boring" as leggings are, I actually haven't made a non-solid pair for myself in quite some time.  I went … Continue reading October BeeBox -VHCO

Plaid, Pleats and Raspberry Creek

September 15, 2017September 15, 20172 Comments

I think I just made my favorite fall top to date!  As soon as I laid eyes on this Raspberry Creek CLUB subtle floral (and plaid), I knew it was meant to be.  I'm all for a floral, but something more subtle is always just what I need more recently.  This is the cotton lycra … Continue reading Plaid, Pleats and Raspberry Creek

This boy is definitely a snuggly one these days! He was always so squirmy and unsettled as a baby, it’s still surprising when he is like this now.
It’s been a while, but hopefully my “sewjo” has returned for the time being. The past few months have been very rough for a few reasons but...sewing is at the top of my self care list and so I’m trying to make it a priority! Easier said than done.
We painted our porch a neutral color after ripping out the carpet, and I realized I accidentally made myself a great photo “studio”. 👏🏻🤷🏻‍♀️
Sewing a cardigan when it’s 95F seems kinda weird, but not really when I can never have too many @grainlinestudio Driftless cardigans...with the perfect @raspberrycreekfabrics french terry. 😍
Obviously he loves snuggles. 😂
How is he so big?! For some reason this @lowlandkids Placket Romper makes him look like a legit toddler. I guess that’s because he is, but im pretty sure that’s not allowed. 😭
